Sport Court(R) Donates Futsal Playing Surface as Part of U.S. Soccer Foundation and Nestle(R) Pure Life(R) Gift to Watts-Willowbrook Boys and Girls Club

The kids at the Watts-Willowbrook Boys and Girls Club here are playing futsal on a colorful new Sport Court, a gift from Connor Sport Court International, the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Nestle Pure Life’s program to expand futsal and healthy lifestyle opportunities across the U.S.

The gift was made as part of the fifth annual Passback Tour on Saturday, August 12, with special guest Cristina Saralegui, Nestle’s spokesperson and supporter of healthy habits for the Hispanic community. Cristina Saralegui is a journalist, actress and Spanish-language talk show host.

Sport Court joined Nestle and the U.S. Soccer Foundation as part of the “Echale Agua a Tu Vida” initiative to inspire families to live healthier lifestyles through staying active.

The 2011 Passback Tour runs from July to October, reaching Miami, Washington, D.C., Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, Dallas, Las Vegas, Chicago and Phoenix. The tour works with children 5-12, offering soccer games and activities that emphasize healthy lifestyles. It also connects families with local soccer programs that can help children achieve the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity each day.

“Sport Court is pleased to be a supporter and partner in the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s dynamic programs,” said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International, headquartered in Salt Lake City.

“Sport Court provides an exciting, safe and fun way for children and adults to maintain the active lifestyles that provide fitness and good health,” said Cerny.

“The event also demonstrates the versatility and attractiveness of our courts,” Cerny added.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation was established in 1994 to manage the surplus funds generated by the 1994 FIFA World Cup held in the United States.
