MIDDLESBROUGH ANNOUNCE SUMMER FUTSAL COURSES

MIDDLESBROUGH Futsal Club is pleased to announce two summer futsal courses at Catterick Leisure Centre this August.

Children will have the chance to learn and play the game that has made the Spanish teams so dominant in recent years. Futsal is a version of indoor, 5-a-side football played extensively in Spain by school children and uses a smaller ball and emphasises improvisation and playing under pressure.

Futsal promotes technical ability and team work and players such as Cesc Fabregas, Xavi and Leo Messi will all attribute their styles to having played futsal as a child.

The first course, for 5-11 year olds will run from Tuesday 16 August until Thursday 18 August and the second, for 12-16 year olds will be held from Tuesday 23 August until Thursday 25 August. Each day of the course will run from 10:30am until 3:30pm and costs just £20 per day!

All abilities of boys and girls are welcome and the focus will be on fun with plenty of games throughout the week, with a tournament and prizes on the final day! There will also be opportunities for continuing futsal into the new school year with weekly sessions starting in September.
