FIFA Instructor joins Futsal in the Sutherland Shire

Francisco Batista has been appointed by the Sutherland Shire Futsal Association Incorporated to the position of Technical Director for the 2011 – 2012 Season.

Francisco Batista accredited FIFA Futsal Instructor will oversee all Futsal Player and Coach development from Community to the Elite level.

Mr Batista is the current Head Coach of Futsal National Team for the Qatar Football Association (QFA). He comes to Australia highly regarded by the Football Association of Portugal (FPF).

Sutherland Shire Futsal Association President Jonathan Simnett said; “this is a significant step forward to promote and develop the game; this will take Player and Coach Development to a new level”
As well as his FIFA Instructors Certification Mr Batista brings other professional qualifications such as;

• PhD In Sciences of Education
• Master’s Degree in Sports Direction and Management
• Postgraduate Degree in Physical and Healthy Lifestyles Promotion

Mr Batista was one of the participants and lecturers in the recent FIFA Futsal Instructors course held in Las Rozas, Spain, May 2011.

Trials for Player selection to represent the Sutherland Shire in the 2011 – 2012 Football NSW Futsal Super League will be announced separately.
