Scottish Futsal League

This weekend is a big one in Scottish futsal.

For the first time in nine years, there will be an international fixture when the Scotland futsal team take on Golden Stars Futsal and a Dutch league select side.

Last week ,the Scottish Futsal League received official confirmation from the Scottish Football Association and the Scottish Amateur FA that this weekend trip to Holland is an official international fixture. The team have met up a couple of times over the last two weeks and last Friday the national squad had a warm-up game against a league select side, which saw the national team win 7–4.

Playing for the select was Steven McLean, Dean Percy, Kenny Hynd, Innes MacKintosh, John McLean, Russell Stewart and Mitch Hunter.

The league committee would like to thank the league select side, the SFA, the SAFA and a private funder for making this international weekend possible. The squad leave tonight and the club wish them all the best. Anyone can follow the team on the league website at www.scottishfutsalleague.co.nr
