Futsal Coaching and Playing Career From (1985 – 2005)

· Currently FIFA Coaching Instructor. My job is to travel around the world while being a FIFA ambassador spreading Futsal and instructing future coaching instructors how to teach the game to new coaches.
· 1987 was Player/Head Assistant Coach for the US National Team that competed in Pacific Rim Cup, while playing and coaching against Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Finished 3rd place. Was a part of the USFF Coaches Committee from 1988 thru 1990. One of my duties was to organize and implement Futsal coaching clinics.
· Started playing for the US National Team in 1985 while competing in several exhibition games against Canada, Australia, US base Professional Indoor Teams and eventually competed in the 1987 Pacific Rim Cup.

Coaching Experience

USASA National Men’s Select Team Coach (February 2004-Present)
· Responsible for identifying and selecting players across the nation, ages 16-26 to form the USASA National Team. Train and prepare the team to compete in selective venues, which allow the players an opportunity to be selected for U.S. National and Professional Teams.
· Led the USASA National Team while competing in Florida February 2005-6 against 4 MLS squads and in California and lead the team in August 2005 against the MLS Rookies of the Year.
· Coached the USASA National Select Team to victory by winning the 2004 US Soccer Festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
· Work closely with USASA Executive Board and attend AGM to do coaching workshops.

Director of Coaching Westside Metros SC Beaverton, Oregon (August 2002-Present)
· Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the soccer program, including networking closely with college coaches, budgeting, scheduling tryouts, recruiting, training, promoting and administrating local camps and coaching clinics. Finally, supervising paid coaching staff as well as 25 boys and girls select teams.
· Established a Futsal program as well as an all year round soccer school for players ages 6-18.
· Successfully guided 28 State Semi-Finalist, 18 State Finalist, 14 State Champions, 4 Region III Quarter-Finalist, 3 Region III Semi-Finalist and 1 Region III Finalist.
· Chad Barrett who was a member of our club was on the U20 US National Team.
· Work closely with Executive Board and especially with the President of the Club.

Co-Founder and Director of Coaching Tahuichi in the USA (90-Present)
· Established 16 years ago The Tahuichi Way Soccer Program with the World Famous Tahuichi Soccer Academy, which is an intense training program for US and international players. Since 1990 have arranged for travel and training for 1600 players to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Several alumni have gone onto compete at the collegiate, professional and national team levels.
· In January of 2004 the NSCAA had us do a lecture and a clinic for 4,000 coaches in North Carolina.

USASA Region III Men’s Select Team Regional Coach (2000-2003)
· Recruitment and training of USASA Men’s Region III Select Team for US Soccer Festival.
· 2002 USASA US National Soccer Festival Champions Houston, Texas.
· 2001 USASA US National Soccer Festival Finalist Chicago, Illinois.
· 22 of my players were selected onto USASA National Men’s Select Team. Some of these players are now playing in the MLS.

Director of Coaching City of Houston Parks and Recreation, Texas (1995-2002)
· Co-Founded the most dynamic inner-city youth soccer program in America, HMYSL 3,500 players. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the soccer program, including managing facilities, designing and implementing recreational and competitive coaching philosophies, networking with college coaches, organizing travel arrangements, budgeting, scheduling tryouts, recruiting , training and supervising 10 select teams and coaching staff (Houstonian Futbol Club). Also created fund raising programs, promote sponsorship packages and developed a strong media relationship locally, nationally and internationally.

· Houston since it’s inception (1996) has achieved 41 State-Finalist, 8 Regional-Finalist, 1 National Finalist, 1999 Dallas Cup International Finalist and 2002 Semi-Finalist, hundreds of tournament finalist, 100 players selected to the Olympic Development Program and 40 alumni have gone onto college receiving over $300,000 of athletic scholarships.
