Iran beats Jordan in women's futsal meet

Amman, May 13, IRNA-Top Iranian women's futsal team Rah Ahan defeated the home team Amman 5-4 in an international tournament in Amman on Friday evening.

In their second match, Sepideh Zarrin-Kafsh struck two and her teammates Ma'soumeh Rezazadeh, Fereshteh Karimi, and Fariba Zarqani netted one apiece.

The visitor conceded a 4-3 loss to Jordan's Orthodox in Wednesday's game.

Iran takes on Damascus Saturday afternoon.

Three teams from the host country and seven from Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and Palestine are competing in the tourney.

Rah Ahan stood top in Iran's seven-strong inter-club league, winning 26 points.

Five national players are in the Rah Ahan squad.
