The II International Futsal Tournament City of Porto is a great Sporting event that will be held in Porto on the 8,9,10 e 11 of September in the sports hall Rosa Mota, and will have the presence of 4 of the best portuguese futsal teams, SL Benfica, Sporting CP, AR Freixieiro and Boavista FC, along with the european champion, Action21 Charleroi from Belgium and Lottomatica Roma from Italy.

Sports Hall
The II International Futsal Tournament City of Porto will be played in the Rosa Mota sports hall, located in the center of Porto, with capacity of 4640 people. This sports hall is a national reference in sporting events, due to its tradition in hosting some of the major events in Portugal.

Introduction

The city of Porto is connected with the birth of Futsal in Portugal, affirming itself as a region that contributed more for the growth of this sport.

The people of Porto have always demonstrated a very special affection for futsal, and as result of a fulfilled associated movement, the Football Association of Porto is one of the biggest in the country, and one who has more futsal clubs.

To reward this passion for futsal and in the year of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the incorporation of futsal in the Portuguese Football Federation structure, Porto will receive in 2007 the Futsal European Championship.

Just to years away from that date, the II International Futsal Tournament City of Porto will serve not only to prepare for that event but also to show all portuguese the way they will live futsal and will welcome the European Championship.

Beside the sporting competition the II International Futsal Tournament City of Porto will open futsal to the city through many iniciatives and will help to promote the city in Portugal as well as abroad because beside the top portuguese futsal teams there is also two of the best european teams, making this event in one of the most important futsal competitions in Europe.
