Hi, my name is Steve Chatila and I am the Chairman of Perth Youth Futsal (website address is www.scottishfutsal). We are holding our annual open youth Futsal tournament on the 26th & 27th of August 2005 and wish to invite interested teams to apply.

Based at Bells Sports Centre in Perth, Scotland, we are the first established youth leagues in Scotland and have been running since November 2001. We run leagues for players from 10 to 19 years old. In addition to this, our under 19 select team also plays in the (adult) Scottish Futsal League, whilst PYF select teams have also traveled to Barcelona, Spain to participate in youth Futsal tournaments.

In August 2004 we held our first PYF Open tournament, which included teams from Inverness and Ireland as well as local PYF teams. It is hoped to make this year’s tournament an even bigger success and, as well as our local teams, we hope to attract more teams from other Scottish regions, the UK and around the world.

Entry fee for tourney is £25 per team & £3 per player, which means that the cost, based on number of players, will be £49 for 8 players, £55 for 10 players or £60 for 12 players (All money is shown in £ Sterling). The Max Squad size is 12 players. All players and officials will receive a Tournament T-Shirt and Tournament Programme.

Entries must be submitted using the 'Team Registration' sheet which is available via our 'Download' page and must be accompanied by a non-refundable entry fee of £25 (to be received in full by the deadline date). Places are limited and applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. No applications will be accepted without the entry fee payment.

It is planned that the Tournament will consist of 8 teams per age group, split into 2 groups of 4. The age groups are 10-12 year olds, 13-15 year olds & 16-19 year olds (based on Age at 1st January 2005). Each team will play a minimum of 4 matches, with each match lasting a minimum of 15 minutes.

For visiting teams, we will be glad to help with arrangements for accommodation, local transport, and transport to / from your nominated Scottish airport. Please contact us with details of your requirements and we will provide details of costs etc.
