Between February 11th and 13th was played the XI Copa de España for female clubs. The best eight teams of the standing at the end of the first leg of Spanish Division de Honor were allowed to play in the hall "Polideportivo Insular Rita Hernández" in Telde. Final victory went to the cup "specialist" UCAM Murcia of the new coach Joaquín Peñaranda. UCAM won three of the last four editions (in the past season was defeated by Femesala Elche). The Cup final eight was, also, characterized by the first seasonal defeat of the Spanish top club Femesala Elche in a thrilling semifinal against UCAM Murcia.

The Preconte Telde G. Canaria's goalkeeper Sara Álvarez was awarded as the best player of the tournament, Sofía Candela (UCAM Murcia) was the Cup top scorer with 6 goals.
