Trofeo Delfino 2004

INTERNATIONAL FUTSAL TOURNAMENT
Rimini - Italy
29th-30th May 2004

It’s probably safe to skip the introduction to Rimini, an immensely popular resort on the Adriatic coast. One of the most well liked tourist attractions in Italy, it has featured in Euro-Sportring’s programme for years as one of the top events. This is as good as it gets. Play a good game of football against foreign teams in the sunshine, and enjoy Rimini’s ample night life when the sun has disappeared! This tournament provides the ultimate holiday feeling. Clubs, bars, restaurants, al fresco seating, shopping and general ‘passegiata’, the Italian culture of looking at people and being looked at, on the seafront promenade, and the pizzas are so much better than at home – that’s Rimini for you. Choose the Trofeo Delfino for a top holiday with a sporty flavour!

TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER(S)
AC Coriano has a very good reputation as organiser of various events, such as a special youth camp every summer for boys and girls from 4-13 years. It organised already a couple of years before our tournaments in the Rimini/Riccione region and we are glad to have them back. Their first team is playing a good role in the 'Promozione' and apart from the usual youth teams in the ages of 8-18 years, they have also boys from 6-8 years, a ladies- and a girls team. The club exists more than 40 years and has approx. 400 members.

TOURIST INFORMATION
• Rimini (130.000 inhabitants) and Riccione (33.000 inhabitants) together make the biggest bathing resort of Italy. The city of Rimini shows two different faces. The old centre, west of the rail road, with its roman and medieval monuments, such as the Arch of August, the Tiberius bridge and the castle of Malatesta. On the other side of the rail road you will find the attractive new city with about 15 kilometres beautiful beaches, numerous hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and a promenade. Riccione on the other hand has a quite different character. It is called the 'Pearl of the Adria', because of the many gardens and parks in this town. Around the lovely beach there is a large choice of taverns, restaurants, hotels, shops, discos and other tourist attractions.
• In the surrounding of Rimini/Riccione you’ll find several amusement parcs, like Mirabilandia or a Delphinarium. There are also several ‘water’-amusement parcs, like Acquafan. Do not forget the Science Fiction Show. In the disco l'Altro Mondo in Rimini you will live the future of amusement. This discotheque with unique science fiction setting is light years forward. A full universion in lasers and music holophonic. It's the only one in Europe: to dance and to make spectacle (a different one for every night).
• Mirabilandia (Ravenna, approx. 40 km from Rimini). 400,000 square meters of refreshing green areas filled with exciting and unique attractions. Five areas, the magical lands of Mirabilandia, are waiting to be discovered. Within each area theatres, shops, restaurants and ice-cream parlours. At Mirabilandia there is only one entrance fee for all the attractions. And once you have your ticket, you will take off for an adventurous journey in a fantasy world created for the family, the kids, the toddlers, and for all those who would have liked to have never grown up or those who just want to feel young for a day. Price indication: approx. € 20,- (price 2003).
